Today is the 5th Anniversary of when my gorgeous Rummage was taken from us, far too early.
He came to us as a 5 month old rescue, as 'apparently' he was too boisterous for the family who had him. Although he had a small hernia, which I suspect may have been the real reason.
We were given him on a weeks trial to see if he would settle & bond with our other dog, he jumped in the car, looked out of the back window & more or less said "Home James"
He was a Tibetan Terrier, but was always mistaken for a beardie Laughing
I used to love how he screamed with excitement when we came in (sometimes a bit too loud Laughing ), or chased us around the kitchen if Nick bought a kebab. He could sniff out Pasties from miles away. He even ran off across the dunes once & down the beach, to stare out an old couple having a picnic in the middle of a deserted beach in October Embarassed They were not amused Laughing
I am trying to remember all the good times, as he left us too early, at the age of 10 he died of liver failure Crying or Very sad
He was a joy to have had in our lives & is missed very much.
This is the only photo I have on this laptop, it was taken at my mums at christmas & Rummage was chewing his present Smile

Sorry Max, only just catching up. Hugs from me and Jethro, Rummage was such a character from what you've said, and I can see why he would be mistaken for a beardie - in more than looks! Treasure the memories.

xx

I'm new here - you must miss Rummage so much. I grew up with Tibetan Terriers - Dad ended up with 5 at one stage. They are quite like Beardies in temperament although ours were all very stubborn and would only do what they wanted!! I have a really soft spot for them as Sam the Tibetan was my first real dog - he went everywhere with me when I was a teenager - I still have photos of him up at home.
