Hello and good evening,
Yes, it has been a long time since I have been on this web side , but as some of you might remember , I loss my wife two years ago to a terminal neurological disease, but last week my great " Alfie " had to put to sleep !
He just collapsed and never got better , he would have been 14 years old in December and I hoped to have him at least another couple of years but not such luck !
I hope I can find another one like him, but it will be hard !
If anybody has one spare to a good home, please contact me ?
with best wishes

Lutz

Oh I am so sorry to read this - he was a lovely dog and I know how much comfort you got from him during the care of your wife.

If you contact Belinda Steer - private message her belindasteer - she holds the puppy list for the FBC.

good luck in your search and please keep us posted

In the meantime cherish the memories of Alfie and celebrate his life

So very sorry for your loss. It is very hard, but treasure the good memories. I am sure when the time is right, you will be able to give another one a wonderful home.

Lutz, I am so sorry to hear about Alfie, I was only thinking about him the other day.

I know he was such a special boy to you and he must have been such a great friend when Jan died (is it really two years ago).

We had a similar situation with Merlin in February, he seemed to go down hill so quickly and we had to say goodbye to him. He would have been 14 next October and we thought we'd have a couple more years with him, if we were lucky.

Hold on to those wonderful memories, and if you find another dog one day it won't be an Alfie replacement, but may fill that huge hole he has left behind.

We now have a puppy (thanks to the FBC) we weren't going to have another, but so glad we have Sirius to take our minds off our pain and be a pal to Wizard.

Look after yourself Lutz,

Julie, Wizard and Sirius xx

So sorry to read of your loss Lutz, you've had a tough time to contend with.

Alfie will always be in your heart, and watching over you. Good luck with finding another friend when you are ready.

So sorry to read about Alfie Lutz, he'll be waiting with Jan for you over the bridge. Good luck with finding another Beardie companion soon, as Julie says, they will never replace Alfie, your heart just gets bigger to love another. xxx

Hello and good evening,
I like to say a big thank you all , for your well wishes!
It means a lot to me and it can not make Alfie alive unfortunately but my memories will never go, he was very special indeed!!
He also knew it !
I went to Glasgow today, to the SPCA centre and they had a bearded Collie for rehoming.
It took us two hours to get there and then we arrive , the dog called " Jacob" was already reserved. I am gutted and I have been looking around for a few days now on the internet but not such luck. My home is not the same without a bearded collie to tell you the truth but a puppy I can not afford.
Not sure if I should look for a lady or a lad but if anybody hears anything , please , give me a shout.
Many thanks an best wishes

Lutz
