Hello everyone. I'm sorry not to have been on the forum for quite a while but my wife has been ill with severe depression for the 2 years or so it has not been exactly uppermost in the great scheme of life. I'm glad to say that she is better now.

Our wonderful boy Maxie passed three weeks ago. He was 15 and we think had a stroke affecting his back legs. Maxie was a wonderful boy, full of energy and playfullness, we are all devastated by his going and is sadly missed.

You might remember Poppy, our rescue fawn Beardie. She is now all grown up and is a treasure but is missing Maxie very badly and we are now looking for a companion rescue Beardie for her.

I appreciate this is not the forum topic to request for a rescue but only the moderators can post on that.
Can one of the moderators kindly put a request
for a rescue Beardie please.

Geoff and Patricia and Poppykins.

So sorry to hear about Maxie Geoff, he will be playing with all our Beardies at the bridge now.
If you click on the link to Beardie Rescue (left hand side of the screen) I think you will find it is Shirley Hinchcliffe for your area, and her phone number is there for you to contact. The best of luck in your search, please let us know how you get on.
Love to you and Patricia and a big hug to Poppy from all of us here xxxxxx

So sorry for this loss, it's always awful. Grief is the cost we pay for love and we would never not want to love.

Glad health has improved in your house and the greatest compliment you can give your Maxie is to share all that love with another. Good luck with your search. X

So sorry for your loss.

How wonderful that you are prepared to open your home and your hearts to another beardie in need.

I'm so sorry to read of your loss; what a great age Maxie was.

I really hope you are able to find a suitable companion for Poppy. I know how much my Wizard missed Merlin when he went to the bridge, so much so that we did what we said we'd wouldn't do, and get another Beardie Wink

So glad Patricia is much better Very Happy

So sorry for your loss. Run free, Maxie. Hope you find a beardie friend for Poppy. How wonderful that an as yet unknown rescue beardie will find a new loving home, so some good comes out of it.

Run free Maxie.
Geoff it is so lovely of you to offer to rehome a rescue. I lost my dog 3 weeks ago too & considered a rescue, but as I have 2 oldies, I want to give them some time now. Good on you x

Sorry to hear of your loss of Maxie.

When you are able, it would be lovely to see some pictures of Maxie and also Poppy.
