Dunno CJ ... i had assumed that when/if Annie's account gets Photobucket's current "Customer Care" treatment, lights will go out across the world ... |

It just says unknown error Mark, sorry causing you all this bovver, I think your brain cells are probably functioning better than mine though I would love to send you the image but haven't the foggiest how to do it! |
Let's face it Jacquie, our ambitions have far outstripped our skill set ... But, on the bright side, Summer Holidays are just around the corner so 10 year old IT Consultants will soon be roaming the streets ... a trail of Oreos to your front door should help you capture one or two. |

I think you are right, Mark. Jacquie, if you happen to know a teenager who could help you I'm sure he/she could solve the problem within a few seconds... Helping on line is not always easy as you can't actually see what's happening on the screen on the other side! Good luck anyway! |

That's it, it has disappeared for me too, when I read Jacquie's post it was still there though. GGGGRRRR!!!! Could it be that because the original pic was under b... Photobucket, they can still delete it even if it is saved somewhere else?... I think I will try to put it back again, though, and see what happens. |

I've put it back! And I think I know what may have caused it to disappear - if I'm right, it's my own fault. On the Postimage home page, you can choose an expiry date for your photos. I thought it concerned the length of time they are stored there, not how long they appear where you paste them, so I clicked on "24 hours". I have now clicked on "No expiry". Let's ee if it works... And by the way, I'd better check the pix I have posted with Postimage in another thread (My Honorary Beardie) - normally they should have disappeared if that is the reason why my siggie did... If not, it really means that PB can delete photos from websites and forums even if they are saved somewhere else!!!
I have just checked and... yes, they have disappeared, although they have nothing to do with Photobucket. So... mea culpa!!! And incidentally, PB has now removed all the pix I had posted using their FREE services in all my other threads. Fortunately, I had only been using PB for a year and a half or so, before that I used Tinypic (which belongs to PB BUT is still free so far). So my older pix are still there. But as lots of people here have been using PB for years, looking at old threads supposedly containing photos is going to be very sad now... |

MMM - I may be wrong, but I seem to remember that Annie has a professional a/c with PB, in which case she probably won't be affected?
Regardless, surely if I have downloaded and stored the image on my own pc, it should be safe? I certainly resized it on my pc to fit in with this site's avatar's size requirements, and uploaded it direct from here, I had assumed that was the only way to do an avatar? But what do I know - even older than you, so my brain is definitely hurting now................... |

BTW, I haven't received any notification from PB that all this is happening. Have you all received an email? |

I got one just the other day CJ, I think they are working through their accounts somehow, not sure how though. I don't have many photos on there compared to some so it can't be volume. |

Ooer, too early for all these words, though I must confess - any time is too early for my brain cell.
Fortunately I have never stored my photos on PB but I can't remember if I saved my Christmas avatar and my original sig pic, i know I did the resizing on PB but just hoping I have the original on my pc, there are still lots on the old pc I know. However, trawling through those will have to wait, need to trim hedges before there is more hedge tha garden.
Now, will post and see if I am still being blackmailed.
Joy 'n Millie
Oh yes, seems so. I am methodically removing my pics from PB, wonder what will happen when my account with them is empty. We shall see. |

Ooopppsss Jacquie! I've just checked your avatar and your siggie (anybody can do this, apparently!), and they are both under Photobucket!!! So... you'd better do something before they are deleted by Mister Greedy PB. |
Just seen your message Nina thankyou I think it's as Mark says that Annie has stored them in PB but hopefully if she has a professional account it wont be affected, fingers crossed anyway but at least I now have them stored in postimage |

Very good then, Jacquie! So now you can replace your siggie and avatar with Postimage here, no need to wait for PB's warning.
And the nerve of these people! Although they have deleted all my pics from this website, they continue to flood me with emails offering discounts on this or that! I think this time I am really going to send them a veeerrrry angggrrry email. |
