Oh! Did he tear off his beautiful t-shirt then?... Shocked The stitches must really annoy him if he did. Couldn't the vet put some of those wide adhesive bandages around his tummy to protect the operation site?

Oh that must be really bothering him then, I'm sure once the antibiotics kick in he will be ok with the shirt. I've used it for three spaniels and two beardies now and they have all been fine, not bothered with the stitches at all, but they haven't had a problem with the wounds. Poor Baxter does nothing go straightforward for him? Crying or Very sad

The surgeon has just rung with the results of his biopsy Smile the tumours were as expected Sad but the other area is a benign mass Smile I told him about the discharge and he advised the same as my own vet...to just bathe it and keep it clean Smile

Bless him, he can barely fit through the door Laughing

Ha Ha, judging by the look on his face he has caught sight of himself in a mirror! Poor boy! It is just so hard not to be able to tell him it is for his own good. Still, he is well over the worst now and will soon be running around and enjoying himself again. Keep up the good work.

That is one big cone..... I have seen some inflatable ones that might be better but might not be suitable for Baxter bless him. Take care of yourself too.

Glad the op went well Sandie. Dylan can sympathise you Baxter, not only did he have to have the biggest cone imaginable, to stop him chewing the stiches after his cruciate op, but it was pink!!
Get well soon Baxter. x

Oh heck, it sounds like the wound could be breaking down. Hopefully the vet will fix him up. So sorry to hear this poor Baxter he really is going through it.

Oh dear, what a worry for you. Hopefully just a blip and the vet will clear this up. So glad to hear the other mass was benign so at least you don't need to worry on that score.

More white light and positive thoughts for his recovery from all of us.

Helen xx

Wish I wasn't actually Sandy but at least the Vet has redone it and now hopefully it will be ok. Have they suggested anything to help with the healing?

He was still in surgery an hour ago but I spoke to one of the vets who said they were using a different method to close him up. The nurse is going to ring me later and then hopefully they will tell me more when I pick him up tomorrow.
