Glad to hear from you again, Bonnie! Of course it isn't very surprising to read that things are not 100% back to normal, including for people's and animals' emotions, it does take a long time to evacuate all the fear and trauma. I hope nothing is wrong with Jager, and maybe a soothing collar ("Adaptil", if you have that in Canada) might help Gus to overcome his anxiety. All the best to you humans and dogs!

Oh dear Bonnie, so sorry to hear that you are still having such trials. I can't imagine how awful it must be having constant reminders.

We send you our very best wishes, wish we could do more.

Occasionally we see small snippets of people fleeing the fires, back then, and it is just horrific. So glad you and yours are alright. And, for your sister, that she found her child....xx

hugs to Jager and Gus, and you of course..

So sorrry things are still difficult Bonnie, I hope Jager is ok, maybe you should do that emergency call if it's going to take that long for him to be seen, sometimes these infections track up into the kidneys. I don't know if you can get it in Canada but what about something like Yucalm for Gus? It may help him cope.

Thank you all for your kind thoughts...such a wonderful bunch of people here.

Nina and Jacquie I'll have a look for both of those products when I go to town on Monday and if they aren't available I'm sure I could probably get them online.

There's a book coming out in December called the 88000 project about the fire and stories of escape...I'm going to wait a while before I read it and of course Hollywood has been nosing around Evil or Very Mad I think it's too soon for that...

Bonnie Gus and Jager xxxx

I agree with Judy, Bonnie! It may be important to keep those memories somewhere, to have a look at them when you are ready to do so - but probably not now, no...

I've checked on the Internet, and Adaptil collars are available in Canada too, if you wish to buy one for Gus.

Gosh Bonnie, Judy has been reading my mind again, I was only thinking the same earlier today but been busy making a determined effort not to put off doing thongs I have been putting off.

Wondered if life was in any way returning to normal but difficult to imagine how you can restore after such a disaster.

I do hope that the saying "no news is good news" applies in Bonnie's case...
