I know where your coming from.
It's been 7 years since Jack left us and 4 since Sandy did
and I still miss them, and often feel they are there, watching
Especially Jack, with that smile of his - my heart still misses a beat when I think of him.

What I am trying to say (and not very well) is...

Remember all the times, Happy & Naughty and keep remembering in the years to come.
I am glad I haven't forgotten Jack or Sandy, and I know even if I lose my faculties one day...
Those memories will never leave me, regardless.

That's the legacy you can give Baxter, now and in 40 years time!

I agree Joy, I think of my first Beardie Dougal, all the time I got him in 1980. He died in 1995 Sad But I still miss him, and think of all the funny times. He was a real clown, and still brings giggle when I think about what he got up to. Laughing But my darling Bentley still seems to be yesterday and I miss him so much. He died only 3yrs ago. Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

A year ago today I said goodbye to my best friend, my rock, my boy Sad I miss you every day Sad

Can it really be a year since you left us:( some days it seems like only yesterday you were by my side, and others it seems an eternity:( I still relive that last week in my mind and the heartbreaking moment I knew you had gone Sad I still feel the guilt for all you went through, it was all for nothing and our time was over Sad we spent so little time together that last week Sad

In the dark days that followed Doris and I clung to each other for comfort, wondering how we could carry on without you Sad itís only recently that my neighbour told me that Doz used to howl when I left her Sad she was lost for a while but you would be so proud of her now, carrying on your traditions of barking when I sneeze and has started plucking all the stuffing out of the toys.

We have a new addition, a little Baxter mini me called Basil Smile I think youíd like him.... no, I know youíd like him:) you loved everyone and was always making new doggy friends out on walks or at the beach, and I would struggle to get you to leave your new playmate Smile It took a few weeks for Doris to bond with him, but itís nice to see her happy again and playing with Basil, so I hope youíre happy for us Smile

My heart still aches for you and sometimes when weíre out for a walk my emotions get the better of me, and the tears start to fall. I turn around expecting to see you dawdling behind as always...and I still think of you when I hear the strictly theme tune.

Iím scared that as the years go on, the memories will fade and Iíll forget all the wonderful, special things that made you my beautiful Baxie boy. I dream about you and still have to sleep with the cushion of you, I need to feel as if youíre with me. I miss our cuddles so much and the funny grumbling noise you would make, as if to tell me off and say you were too big for cuddles.

I always felt very protective of you and you with me. You got me through the worst time of my life and i struggle some days without your support Sad

I have a video on my phone that I watch when Iím missing you and want to share it with my friends..

Sandie those memories will always be there, they don't disappear with time. I lost Heidi in 2007 and every time I hear the Eastenders theme tune - at the end, not the beginning - I think of her, because she knew that when Eastenders finished we would be going for our evening walk over the rec. There isn't a day goes by when I don't think of her. Hugs xx

Mary

Bug hugs for you Sandie. Your boy will always be in your heart and memories will live you for a lifetime.

Sandie that is beautiful, and is exactly how I feel about Bentley.

I still miss him terribly as he was my soul mate, always there for me.

I won't go any further, as you've said it all.

Take care, thinking of you.xxxx
