Kirstancourt Kamau - DOUGLAS (DD)
19 05 09 - 08 01 18
It is with great sadness that i write this - DD lost his battle today, he was the bravest and most loving of dogs - from the moment he was born he gave out love and hope, he battled to survive and overcame obstacles - he taught us all to never give up - He needed a very special mum and he found Elaine and side by side He achieved so much in his life - with Elaine Walton he gained his Gold Good Citizen and became a PAT dog - he did obedience no mean achievement for a deaf dog and most of all he gave confidence and love to dogs that needed help - Douglas you made your time on this plain so worthwhile you will shine and help the poor souls over the Rainbow Bridge to be at peace because you were an Angel sent to us albeit for a short while and you will stay in our hearts forever xxx Run free DD xxx My condolences and love to his mum Elaine xxx

Kay I am very sad to read this about DD. Your tribute to him was one of love and we should all remember he wouldn't have survived without you in the very beginning.

DD's litter was the very first one I ever came across on FBC and remember only too well the tears which were shed over DD. It is nice to know that one special boy can bring so much to other lives both human and doggy.

Run free young man x

Thinking of you Kay and of course Elaine x

Truly saddened to read that DD has gone over the Bridge. He was indeed a very special boy who was lucky enough to have both a breeder (Kay) who refused to give up on him, regardless of how bleak things sometimes looked, and an owner who, with her immense love and very special skills, gave him the chance to shine. DD grabbed that chance, ran with it, and amazed everybody - except maybe Kay and Elaine - and achieved things that most dogs with full hearing and no health problems fail to achieve.

Very proud to have known this special boy and my condolences to Kay. My heart bleeds for Elaine who loved this boy more than words can say. Run free sweet DD.

I am so very saddened to read the awful news on Douglas. You must both be heartbroken, given the love you both had for him. He was such a special boy and achieved so much, despite his troubled start.

Run free Douglas, another taken much too soon.

Xx
