Evidently one of the Knights at King Arthur's round table wasn't quite as well known as any of the other Knights, this is his story
Enjoy.
FOR ONE KNIGHT ONLY.
A brave and fearless Knight walked down the road, he was SIR BEARDIE BOUNCELOT.
His horse had been stolen by joyriders as he travelled to Camelot.
He met a pretty maiden fair, he gave her a sideways glance.
"Take care Sire" she said, "you'll have someone's eye out with that lance."
" I beg your forgiveness my lady," he said, "I have had such a rotten day."
"First the rain made my chain mail vest go rusty, then some varlet rode my horse away."
I must make haste back to Camelot for my sworn duty as long as I'm able,
is to protect my good King Arthur, besides, my dinner will be on the round table."
"Come home with me Sire," she said "for I may have the very thing,
it could send you happily on your way and make your sad heart sing."
Forgetting all thoughts of his predicament, his loyalty to King Arthur was temporarily overuled.
Mistaking the maidens kindness for seduction, he smiled and thought
"Gadzooks, Methinks I've pulled."
Merrily they frolicked on the way to her home, he told the maiden many a yarn.
Sir Beardie Bouncelot's imagination was running wild as she led him to a barn.
She opened the doors and there it stood right before his very eyes.
The biggest St Bernard Dog in England, such an enormous size.
"What is this?" he asked, "this is my Dog Sire, you can ride him like a horse,
you didn't think I brought you here to..!! : !!did you?" he said "of course I did, of course."
She said "shame on you Sire, I am a Maiden pure, my father is a poor Farmer."
"I wondered why every few steps you shed a piece of your armour."
"I am so sorry my Lady," he said, "I beg your forgiveness again."
"Please may I stay here for the night, it is dark and starting to rain."
He bowed to her, then on bended knee, he gave her hand a kiss.
Then he smiled and cheekily said........"SURELY YOU WOULDN'T SEND A KNIGHT OUT ON A DOG LIKE THIS."
