Aren't they lovely. My first Beardie Dougal had a lot of Brambledale in his Pedigree and he you could see it in him. looked very much like the earlier ones.
He did well in the show ring, became a Champion anyway.
He was born in 1979.
His breeder wanted me to show him,I'd had never shown a dog before!
Went to show training etc and started, this was 1980.
Anyway it was fun, met other people with Beardies and we're still good friends now.
And.....I'll always love dear old Dougs. |

If you look at the page from the seventies and scroll down you will see the very handsome Brambledale Boreas who belonged to some friends Tony (Antonia) and Bob Watson. He was the first beardie that we had met that barked a lot - our first beardie Eddie (1978) was extremely quiet and we thought at the time that she was the norm - ha ha, so when Maddie came along in 1992 we were prepared for the noise. Our current boys have not let us down in the woofing stakes - extremely noisy at home in the garden warning off all possible invaders but not woofy out on a walk. |

Oh my goodness, nearly didn't open the link.
But
am I imagining things or do those first two have a look of Millie about them? |

I've watched the 2 Brambledale videos so many times I've lost count! Every time I do, I so wish I could go there and meet Lynne Sharpe and her fantastic dogs... |

My niece has a Brambledale, now 3 and is very bright. He puts his toys away each night lol has us in fits with his antics. It took Faye nearly 2 years to actually be owned by ne as Lynne has a very long waiting list and is very particular of who owns them. I wish I could have one |

By the way does anybody know how Lynne Sharpe is these days? I read on Facebook some time ago that she had some health problems. |
