Some older members of this site will remember both me and the Ds - Daisy and Dave. Daisy was ours from a puppy, Dave we inherited from a much loved friend and FBC member, Janice Churton.

Sadly, yesterday, our darling Daisy went off on her way to Rainbow Bridge. I'm broken hearted but I know she's got not only my mum and dad waiting for her, but also Janice and Daisy's auntie Sue.

Sue and Gilly were my first friends on FBC, in fact we were almost the first members. They kept me going through rough times and numerous bottles of wine, as did many members here, especially when Martin was posted to the Middle East for 2 years. A large group of us met up at Fountains Abbey, then for a weekend at Robin Hood's Bay in 2011 and 2012

As with many things, my life has moved on and I rarely visit the FBC anymore, but Daisy - and Dave - were here with me almost from the beginning so I needed to let you all know.

with love

Oh what sad news Belinda, she was a lovely girl. I remember how good she and Dave were when we were all in Cornwall and they came to stay in our camp with Sue,Mike,Mark and myself and the beards. Lovely memories.

We met for the first time for Crufts - think it was in 2009 - you were in the adjoining room in the hotel to Sue and I and I think you were a bit horrified at the mess we had created in our room in such a short time Laughing CJ kindly invited the three of us to her home for dinner and I still have the photos of us sitting on her staircase. We met Janice in cornwall with you when you brought her down for a long weekend and it was so nice to actually meet her.

It is a wonderful thought that Daisy is up there with Janice and Sue and I am sure that Harry and Sadie will be showing her around.

It would be lovely to see you back here on FBC and in the chat room in the evenings.

Hugs to you, Martin and Dave xxx

Hi Belinda, I wasn't there in the very early days but remember your posts about Daisy and Dave.

I'm so sorry to hear the sad news about Daisy but know that she will be in the best possible company at the Bridge.
So sorry for your loss xxx

Hello Belinda

How lovely to see you back here, even though it is with very sad news. I well remember all the posts about Janice and Daisy and Dave and was lucky enough to meet you all one year down in Cornwall.

You must all miss her, especially Dave having had her for company these last few years. I am sure Daisy will be meeting all our long lost friends up at Rainbow Bridge.

Thinking of you all. Xx

Never easy, my heart goes out to you. Have lost two Beardies over the years, Blott and Toby.... they're still with is in spirit and we see them now and then .... just flashes in the garden. Now we have Hobbes who is helping to fill that gap. And has brought Beardie joy and fun back into the household by the bucket full.

God bless
Robert
