Thanks for all the good wishes Smile he is a little darling and Iím smitten Smile I swear heís grown already!
Canít believe yesterday he was sleeping and he woke up and took himself outside to go to the toilet Smile so I think he will be toilet trained quickly Smile
I had been trying to pluck up courage to ask Kay to find me a puppy...Baxter was one of Kayís and she found Doris for me.... but I kept putting it off as I was afraid that I wouldnít be ready Sad she told of a few litters but I was still a little hesitant and then she sent me a message to ring her and when she said that Karen had a litter that had just been born and there was a little slate boy with dark legs and white paws, I burst into tears, as I knew this was the litter for me Smile it was only after I had spoken to Karen that I remembered that I had seen a shooting star on the Friday night when he was born Smile
This was uncanny as 2 days before Kay told me about Doris, I had been walking Bax and had seen a shooting star! Iíve only ever seen 2! Both Doris and Basil were born on the 13th Smile 8 weeks later my little star 🌟 is here currently having the morning zoomies and making me smile Laughing

Oh Sandie we are so happy for you. Ian and I have just been drooling over the photos; what a gorgeous boy.

I bumped into SandY on my way home from work today and she told me about Basil - I absolutely love the name. My old boy Simon's nick name was "Basil Barge Passed" on account of him always wanting to push passed and be in front all the time Laughing Laughing

I love the story about the shooting star; I'm really into signs like that. Sirius is named after a star (but also a slightly naughty Harry Potter Character - say no more). I remember Gabi putting a photo of Sirius (well it was actually his sister ) on the FBC because he was "homeless" Wink and I just knew he had to be mine. I had kept saying to Barbara that I'd come and see the puppies when they all had homes to go to...Ö.but the rest is history Laughing Laughing Laughing

I will be checking in to watch this boy grow Very Happy

Love to you all,

Julie xxx

It sounds like Basil is a very intelligent wee boy, house training himself!

Bentley was the same, only took a week for him. Your story is lovely and you were obviously meant to have Basil Very Happy Very Happy I think you two will have a very strong bond. So happy for you Sandie. ( Lucky Thing ) Smile

Hi Sandie
Havenít been on here for a while but this news has made my day. In fact Iím welling up here as I know how hard it is to take that step. I waited far too long after losing Charlie and it was only after bringing Archie home that I started to feel any better. Your new little star is getting a lovely home with you and Doris and itís what Baxter would want. Big hug from here xxxx
