Morning FBCers it’s Basil bear here. I just wanted to let you all know that I’m officially a big boy now . Yes it’s my 1st birthday today!
Things have gone a bit quiet on FBC, it's been a sad week with my uncle Boo going to the rainbow bridge and i never got to meet him but I don't think he'd mind me celebrating my 1st birthday
But Mum only went and said I’ve got to wait until September for my prezzie .... that’s ages away! She’s taking me on my first holiday and has booked a week in Cornwall apparently I’m going to love it I get to meet all Dozzie’s mates ..... hope they’re not as grumpy as her!
Mum says I’m the bounciest beardie she’s ever met and should have named me Tigger or Zebedee cos I can’t keep my feet on the ground she keeps muttering about baby elephants and bulls in china shops.... yeah what evs! I’m just a happy bouncing beardie boy It’s not my fault if Doz gets bowled over when I’m running... she shouldn’t get in the way! And mum is having a cuddle from me whether she wants one or not I give the best beardie muggings and love launching myself on her lap and rolling around! I can’t help it if she’s not much bigger than me I was the smallest boy in the litter you know
Well I’d better get a bone for my tea or I’m moving out! Have I mentioned it’s my birthday Let's get this party started!!!
This was me as a baby...
This is me this morning...handsome i know! I am 1 you know
I’m signing off now but want to give a big shout out to any of my brothers and sisters if they’re looking on here
Lots of love Roxilyn Rocket Racer aka Basil bear
PS I live up to my kennel name |

Happy Birthday Basil, what a lovely handsome lad you are. That 12 months has gone really quick. Now you must stop picking on Dozzie, she's not really grumpy just more grown up
Enjoy your 1st Birthday love from all of us here xxx |

Happy 1st Birthday Basil. you will love your birthday holiday and I am sure you will get plenty of people to mug (that's what beardies do). I hope you don't like cake as much as your brother used to

Oh Mate !!! Sorry we missed posting yesterday ... was it your 1st Birthday? ... we're not sure, you need to be more specific Bazza.
Now then, Tali and I would like to invite you to join us for walks and frolics on the North Cornwall Coast in September. .... Just a quick lesson here. The south coast of Devon is often referred to as "The Jurassic Coast" The North Cornwall coast however, particularly in the area of Perranporth in September, is known as the "Chaotic Coast" ... You'll understand why when you get there .. Beardies ... Bundles of Beardies .. wall to wall, off the wall Beardies ... It sounds like you'll fit in very well ... Can't wait to meet you.
Hope you had a good day .. Mac (and Tali) |

Oh Basil, I'm so sorry we missed your birthday yesterday - having trouble getting a signal here in France - must be all the hot weather over here I hope you had a fabulous day.
You've growd up to be a really handsome young man - I'm sure Dozzie loves you really - she just likes to show who's boss
We won't see you in Cornwall this year as we have something else booked just for this year. You'll just have to return next year so we can all meet up. You will love getting to meet new Beardie chums - really gutted we won't be there.
Have a wonderful time. Sending all our love to Dozzie and Mum.
Xx |

Happy belated birthday Basil, Bear, so sorry we missed it. Hope you had a wonderful time and the best is yet to come. (And do I see a bit of a resemblance to Bailey Boo in the middle pic?) |

Thanks for all Basil’s birthday wishes yes he did get his bone for tea he seems to have matured now he’s 1 and was reasonably well behaved when I took him out this morning I’m sure it won’t last and is just a blip
Barbs I think you are right Cornwall had better issue a red alert before he arrives Bax used to be a hooligan and loved running around the beach with all the boys but they ain’t seen nothing like this little hell raiser |

Oh bother Basil, how on earth did we miss your first birthday (Mum was going to spend some time on this site over the school holidays and she didn't get the time). So.…a very belated happy 1st birthday ...and as for Cornwall, just stay away from the café at the big caravan park, because wasn't it Baxter that ended up there; he couldn't resist the sausages they were cooking?

Gosh Julie, that was in the early days in Cornwall for once it wasn’t Baxter but his dad Wesley who did a runner and ended up in Perran Sands cafe |
