Been blowing a hooley here all day. We have had every kind of weather (except snow)
At one point I was on phone to Gilly & used an expletive, as a mahoosive crash of thunder hit right overhead & I thought something large had hit the house as it sort of shuddered Shocked
Anyway, we are supposed to ge getting plummeting temperatures tonight. I have seen the moon Smile then the clouds came, so no idea if forecast is right.
Ooooooo sounds like hail again Rolling Eyes
Next doors Alder tree drops all it's little bunches of sharp seed heads all over our path, making it quite slippy too Evil or Very Mad Thankfully her 'man friend' has been trimming it down today a bit, (in between the bad weather) as I think neighbour is fed up with all the mess now as well Smile
Stay safe peeps.

Sadly, the wind has come up again and it is just starting to rain again. Sad
There goes another night of disturbed sleep as the wee one gets very frightened of the noise.

We had hail/sleet overnight, as well as high winds. This morning looks slick underfoot ( havent gone out yet ) and the temp is hovering around 3, so I think I wont try my walk - a few weeks ago when I went for a walk when it was like this, I went elbow-over-bottom onto some black ice Shocked All roads/lanes lead either up or downhill here, so until it warms up a little I shall play safe.

Temps supposed to be fairly low for the next few days... but at least the winds have died down to the high 30-40mph!

Well the wind hasn't really given up still going mad this morning, I guess it will run out of steam sometime. Thankfully the sun is out so quite cheery, no hail or snow here, not even rain at the moment. Smile

Rolling Eyes Here - according to the Met Office - it is darkdark clouds and hammering rain...in FACT, we now have bright sunlight and scudding white clouds and....no rain..... Rolling Eyes

If we just all had WeatherPiggyBanks, like what I have, we wouldnt NEED the Met Office sigh

We had sunshine, blue sky and white puffy clouds all day, winds back to normal after about 2pm. Pretty sunset too.

At last the wind has gone! Just ready for Dennis to come in. Sad Hopefully it will be a night of undisturbed sleep, at least that's what Davey has promised me. Laughing

Cold and bright here, in between sharp showers...there's snow on t'moor, but none down at our level. Pretty day, and the moon last night was huge and bright. Keep warm and dry, all Smile

Shocked Dennis ( the Menace ) has arrived - wind gusting like a crazy thing and pummelling rain. Grey and sort of darkish. Shall bide with 'im Indoors.

Just saw a rook ( probably a dare-devil teenager " Go on Darren, jump off the roof and see if the wind will hold you up without you flapping your wings....do it before your mother sees you " ) lift off a roof and hover momentarily, before being swept back onto the roof Very Happy
