You may remember the pic I posted last year in April of an X-ray showing the catastrophic state of Foxie's back...
Well... Nine months or so later, with a short "haircut" which avoids regularly pulling on her poor back when grooming her (even being extra-careful can't really avoid it), a daily dose of green-lipped mussel, and a few visits to her osteopath, Foxie now feels "young" again! I can see how much she has changed, and how happy and bouncy she is although she will be 10 years old in July this year. The osteopath has insisted that, for her morale and her muscles, Foxie must go on doing agility but it must be adapted to her condition: no steep descending slopes (i.e. no A-frame, for example), and jumps must be set at the lowest height, as if she were a small breed dog (= 30 cm). It doesn't matter as we don't go to competitions, we are only there for the fun of it!
However, no miracle treatment for poor old me... So... guess who looks more tired at the end of a round?...
Proof here of how much we enjoy our weekly sessions:

I think we both enjoy agility, Foxie and I, yes! Even if Foxie would like it even better if I let her decide on her own itinerary - as shown in the video!!!
And no, Judy, I am NOT supposed to crawl through the tunnel with Foxie! |

NO NO NOOOO Judy, we are not (well at least Foxie isn't) allowed to climb up and down the A-frame, too steep for Foxie's back condition! (and shall I add that I am not really sorry not to have to climb it myself! ) |
