Usually there is some advance information here regarding Crufts, who is going, etc, but so far I haven't seen any post about it. Is it due to he infamous coronavirus? Or are you going anyway?...

I am going with 'Sandownbeardie'
Crufts are taking precautions, lots of hand sanitisers etc. Some countries I think will not be competing this year.
At the moment it is still on Smile Still a week to go though, eeeeeek! Fingers crossed it will be ok

I am pissed off....I had my room booked etc....but my gp said that he would rather I didn't go as I have a respiratory problem and a heart murmur...all from my stroke ..so he said that because of that and my age I am an 'at risk'

Jane Sue and Christine Carolyn aren't going either

Really upset as I love going

Still not able to fly BUT I am going to a place in Wythenshaw that tests the oxygen levels in your blood to see if you are suitable for flying......don't know what they do....but if I go and get the okay from them , the consultant will say yes and insurance company will insure me

Hope you are all well

Confused We tuned in briefly during the Pastoral Group, and saw the GSD - I am pretty sure it had one of those sloping backs but....... the cameras barely showed the dog - showed its head and then showed only its handler holding its head - didnt show it trotting around.

I noticed that too Judy, they kept the cameras on the front of the dog, no sideways view.

Confused Thanks, Jacquie - I wondered if it was me just being suspicious and huffy...what I DID see before they blocked the view looked a lot like a sloped back. sigh.

Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad I thought GSD breeders had stopped that? But maybe not all of them have a conscience... The judges should ask them to leave when they show sloped back dogs, in my opinion.

I don't think the majority of GSD breeders see anything wrong with their dogs Shocked There is a breakaway group I believe that are breeding more the old type. I think even worse than the back sloping is the fact they seem to have a 'beak' in the spine rather than a gradual slope if you get my drift. So wrong. Evil or Very Mad

There was a GSD here in the village 30-odd years ago. It was so crippled with grotesquely bent back legs and a back that went from normal shoulder height at teh front to horrendously low at the back. I always felt so sad when I saw it crabbing up the road. I think it was also - surprise surprise - in pain. Sad
