Hi Pauline, x, yes the posting of pictures on the "Old" FBC is a real pain and is so reliant on third party providers ... Post Image, Photobucket etc .. and we all know what happens when they decide to change their business model.
I wonder if it's possible to update this website so that pics can be posted easily and permanently. it would be a great improvement. |

I must say I've never understood why the posting of photos here is so complicated and, as Mark says, depends so much on greedy commercial companies like PB... And in addition, we had to find our own alternative solution when PB sudeenly decided we should pay fortunes to post photos. Where have this website admins gone?... |

Paul is still monitoring the site - I pm'd him a while back to let him know that some advertising/scammer bod had posted in Off Topic, and he deleted it quite quickly. Perhaps things are complicated for him at the moment... |

Ok Judy, so maybe Paul will do something for us even if this site has become very small compared to the FB group.
And by the way, I think I know which commercial posts you mean, I was surprised to see them! |

Yup - every once in a while an advertiser slips in...
I wonder, if we all pledged a sum of money to help Paul update the site if it needs that - no idea how that would work or if it is even kosher! - whether that might help? Or if some of the tekkies amongst us offered to help on the tech side? I dont know, just an idea.... |

It would be wonderful if photos could be uploaded more easily. I am able to upload but it's so long winded and awkward. But maybe it's me not being very Techy 😕 |

It definitely isn't you, Our Kath ... ... pretty much everyone has to ask how to post a picture when they join, and, although it's not that difficult to do, once you get used to it, it is all a bit clunky. The sad bit for me is the loss of images of the loved ones who are no longer with us ...
I have no idea how other sites work, i don't belong to any others (I'm just soooo exclusive, you are lucky to have me ) and for all i know it may be an impossible ask, but, if there is a fix for posting images, it would be great to have it. |

In fact, this forum is the only one I know in which you have to rely on an external website to post your pictures! I belong to 3 French forums (one for Beardies in general, one for the association which rescues and rehomes Beardies and one which does the same for Siamese cats). The 3 of them are managed by the same host (which probably manages most forums in France), which provides a picture posting facility as an integral part of the forums. When you want to include a photo in your message, you just click on the dedicated icon at the top of your message and you have direct access to the posting procedure, which is very simple and quick. It's a shame that the FBC doesn't have the same facility with its hosting websidte... |

I remembered that we can post pictures directly to public pictures on the right of our screens so there must be a way of putting them directly onto our posts. It is so sad that we have lost so many pictures of our beloved beardies and our wonderful friends due to Photobucket and Tiny pics wanting money. |
