Last weekend I took part in the yearly autumn weekend organized by my French "Amis des Bearded Collies" forum at Etang de Goule (where "DoubleTrouble" Helen, Peter and their gorgeous 2 boys joined us 2 years ago). A lovely place, ideal for Beardie gatherings with the vast grassy space around the cabins where they can run, bounce, bark and play as they like - as it takes place off the busy tourist season, we usually have the place practically to ourselves. Also lots of nice walks along the lake or in the woods, or, a few kms away, typical medieval villages like Apremont which a group of us visited on Sunday afternoon. This year, there were 15 hoomans and 17 dogs there, mostly Beardies, not surprisingly Laughing , but also a few "guests": 2 Lowchens (Miss You and her Parisian friend Wendy, who unlike Miss You has got the official Lowchen "haircut" - Parisian chic???), a beautiful smoke grey Spitz, a small Pinscher and a Chinese dog (the furry kind, not the bare skin one). Here are a few pictures.

I am the lady in black with the red wellies (could be a good title for a song, that, couldn't it! Wink

More about Apremont and your future place of residence, Mark! Wink

https://youtu.be/Nh8_pPVwVjI

And if you watch the video just after that one, you'll see the fabulous flower garden ("parc floral") which can be visited in Apremont too.

Great pics as always Nina. I prefer MissYou's haircut to Wendy's actually. They all look very happy, and the scenery's fantastic.

Thanks Mary! I've always refused to have Miss You's bottom, thighs and tail shaven as specified in the Lowchen standard! Wendy's owner shows her so she has to comply to the rules but I don't! Miss You used to be shown when she was a pup and until she was one year old, by her former owner who was also her breeder, and I have a few photos of her taken at that time:

Would you believe it's the same dog???... Shocked

You stick to your guns Nina, I think MissYou looks adorable whatever, but I've always loved hairy dogs (I'm quite a Hairy Mary myself Rolling Eyes ).
