FLEETING GHOST'S

When I walk in familiar places I still see them now and then.
Like fleeting Ghost's at places where once they roamed In another time called When.

Running, leaping, bouncing around and barking, living life to the full.
Companions supreme, the best bar none, so easy to love them all.

Memories that come flooding back can usually make me smile.
Sometimes it's hard to hold back tears, my cheeks stay wet for awhile.

Days that where so bright and Golden eventually faded into Black.
Only in my mind and dreams all of their magic comes back.

The Wind in the trees is telling me that my lost spirits know how I feel.
That I will never walk alone because they love me still.

Inside I know they are only here deep in my memory and imagination.
It makes this eternal sadness within mingle with my frustration.

Throughout the years they all arrived and then left, times just sped on by.
My Cherished friends had no idea, how great they were and why.

Now I whisper their names at the places that they loved the most.
I see them all again in my mind's eye but each one just as a Fleeting Ghost.

Lovely Joe, I still frequently talk to mine that are no longer here, because I think they are still here. I like to think that when Flynn wags his tail at 'nothing' that he's wagging his tail at them.
Makes me feel better anyway! Smile

Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy I know what you mean Angie, our Rossi Parfitt barks very loudly each time that he sees "Fleeting Ghost's" and that is very often (noisy little ?..chap) Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Just like Flynn he wags his tail and has a fixed stare on something that we and our other dogs can't see or are aware of.....funny that. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Perhaps it is something that they learned at dog club together Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
