So sorry to hear this Sandie and understand how devastated you must be feeling. Stay strong for your lovely boy he looks wonderful in the photos and clearly is still happy just being his normal mischievous self. Hoping this may be operable or your vets can suggest alternative help. Every bit of white light and love coming from us for Baxter and you to help you through this xxx.

Sandy, long time no speak.
Liver cancer can be a good one to treat as the liver regenerates very well.
Don't forget if he has to have chemo that is doesn't generally affect dogs in the way it does us humans.
There are several animal cancer referral centres in the UK now including The Supervet near Guildford.
Hopefully by now you and your vet will have worked out a plan.
Big hugs, try to stay positive.

Lovely photos of Baxter Sandie. He really is so very handsome.

Hope you've recovered from the shock of his diagnosis and have some news on the way forward.

Sending love and best wishes. Xxx

Thanks everyone. Unfortunately, the specialist was off, then the vet Rolling Eyes so I have an appointment this evening, will know what has been decided then. At the moment i'm in turmoil waiting Crying or Very sad I believe that it is the referral centre in Bath, which is the same place that treated Doris. Thankfully, Baxter is absolutely fine in himself, so i'm praying that i have caught it early.x

My last dog, George, had lymphoma and had chemo, but i'm hoping that things have improved since then. Crying or Very sad

I will be thinking of you and Baxter this evening Sandy.

Great to hear Baxter is good in himself.

I am not that experienced in things like this but I am sure things have improved in terms of treatment and Baxter will be in great hands.

xxx

If he's well in himself Sandy that is a very good sign, as you say hopefully you have caught it early and they can do so much more these days.

Big thank you to everyone asking about Bax.

The news isn't very positive and i'm struggling to make sense of it all Crying or Very sad He is being referred to Bath....it seems there is more than one tumour and an operation may not be possible...also i felt that the vet didn't seem that positive about chemo either Crying or Very sad

I'm beating myself up as to why i didn't push for more tests 6 months ago Crying or Very sad but you wouldn't think anything was wrong with him...he has even put on weight in the last week.

The vet has put him on liver support supplements and i'm waiting for a phone call to book him in at Bath.x

Hopefully the upcoming appointment at Bath will be more detailed and more positive. Thinking of you both.

I reiterate what Nina has already said.

When the vet calls you with the appointment for Bath Sandie ask them about anything you are unsure about, I am sure they will be happy to answer your questions.

When our dogs look well I think the last thing we think of them being is unwell so please dont blame yourself. Knowing how much you love Baxter and how impressive and handsome he looks you have done and are doing all you can for him.

Take care

xxx
