I’m getting really worried about Doz now She was getting on ok with Basil then after new year became snappy with him. I thought her season was due as she had one last February and she doesn’t have that many. Anyway she had what appeared to be a silent season No blood but Basil was going nuts. That was a month ago. Since then she has still been snappy with him and doesn’t interact with him Now for the last week she is refusing breakfast and hiding upstairs all day I’m so worried about her. She hasn’t even been out to the toilet since yesterday about 5pm I have made an appointment at the vet tomorrow evening and am dreading it as I’m afraid of what they will say |

She could be having a phantom pregnancy, but there is a chance she is developing a pyo so very sensible to get her to the vet a.s.a.p. Hope she is ok, do let us know the outcome. Such a worry they are. |

Thanks Jacque. Basil’s breeder thought the same she has come downstairs now and been to the toilet. I’m making tuna treats as she will eat those but not breakfast. |

Oh dear, Sandie, what a worry for you.
Sorry, can't help with advice as we've always had boys, but wishing you luck for tomorrow and hope it's not as bad as you fear and nothing sinister.
Sending white light for tomorrow. Xx |

I hope you get some answers at the vets, Sandie. I know absolutely nothing about girls, only ever had boys.
Everything crossed here.

Thanks for all the good wishes. The vet couldn’t find anything obvious wrong with her but took a routine blood test and she is going back tomorrow for an ultrasound x |

She’s back home bloods ok and ultrasound results. vet can’t find anything wrong except her teeth seem sensitive so she has to go back tomorrow for dental X-rays and maybe a tooth removed she has a grey tooth that she banged years ago but it hasn’t bothered her until now. So if it’s not her tooth it could be hormonal, so will see what tomorrow brings. Thanks for all the support, I’ve been on pins all day xx |
