Bonjour everyone! Here I am slowly emerging from a heatwave that hit most parts of this country last week. Unheard of temperatures in some regions: 45°C where my ex lives, for example Shocked , 41°C in the shade in front of my house last Friday... Mad weather... Evil or Very Mad Some schools had to be closed as it was far too hot to let children stay in stuffy classrooms, retirement homes had their air conditioning systems set to max, etc. The only thing to do was to stay absolutely still as the smallest movement created torrents of sweat - which includes typing on a keyboard of course. I am fortunate to live in an old stone house surrounded by trees and bushes, which means that it wasn't as sizzling hot in it was where some of my poor friends live: 35°C in one of my friends' flat in Marseille, for example... Since yesterday temperatures are far more bearable and normal for a summer in Ardèche. Phewww...

Shocked Phew indeed, Nina! You certainly had it scorching. Like you, I also live in an old house ( granite, thatch ) so when it is hot outside, I am always cool. We didnt get your scary temperatures down my way, but in the east of the country it got pretty hot.

Glad you survived, glad you arent sitting in a pool of sweat! xx
