We got hit about an hour and a half ago - it had been raining overnight, and this morning but not bad wind...now, it is gusting like a good 'un and hammering with rain. We are on amber warning for rain and yellow for wind. Keep safe, all Confused

Very Happy Chooks and their frilly knickers...that is such a vis-ism, Gerrie Very Happy

It began to calm down here late afternoon, the rain continued but just normal rain, not pounding down. I feel for the inhabitants of York and the surrounding countryside, waiting over the next day or so for the rain up in the hills to hit the rivers and overflow Sad

Still windy and we had some hail early morning, lovely sunshine just now though. I really feel for those who have floods, especially when it has happened more than once. Sad

Normal (dog) service resumed. Very Happy They loved it although the river was running scarily fast! The sun is shining and the wind is still going quite strong but at least all the flood water has gone from the roads and back into the fields which form the flood plain. The sheep do not seem to have been bothered, they just walk off and seek higher mounds to stand on until the water recedes. Smile Smile Smile

Windrain overnight, this morning just bits and pieces of rain, bits and pieces of blue - gasp - sky, blustery wind but not the scary kind. Actually did a walk without getting soaked or even having to wear my hat all the way, but couldnt do the full walk as water ankle deep in places on the lane.

Same here - it pretended this morning to be sunny and clear, but within a few hours it had reverted to type.
Chimneys, walls and roofs all over the village have sprung leaks - but if that is the worst we are having then I have to think we are lucky here - watched some news reports of what is going on in Wales Shocked Poor people....

I know it's terrible what some people are having to cope with, so far all we seem to have is a leaky log store so the logs wont burn Sad

Think I would prefer a proper winter and a decent dump of snow to what we are having right now.

Yes - we havent had winter yet. A few days every once in a while there is a stab at cold, but nothing prolonged. Cold this morning but not seriously, bit of frost on the cars and roofs is all. Not raining...at the moment.....and no wind....at the moment....
