Beautiful but disruptive. Is it likely to last beyond the day Nina?

Mary, the sun and blue sky are back already and the snow is rapidly melting!

A rather unusual sight: plum strees in bloom against a white background, in my next door neighbour's meadow:

So pretty!

Went for my first walk in ages yesterday, there were, in the hedges, primroses, escaped periwinkle ( boy, can they run! Cool ), white scented violets, daffodils, early honesty and loads and loads of celandine. Against the blueblue sky all the colours were so refreshing

Nina , I read this morning that the uk may be getting a bit of snow
In the next few days, are you sending it our way. . If we do get snow on the ground it will make a nice change not to have to concern myself with driving to work safely or getting home which can be a daunting drive when it snows here as Im up in the hills . .

Thanks, Barbara - all okay here, and in good health so far.

Just now utterly failed to get a diamond encrusted delivery slot for Tesco - one appeared out of the blue... and then 10 seconds later, although I had clicked on it, disappeared.....whooooooosh!

We are pretty lucky, though, our local little shops are sort of coping for the time being though the shelves look a tad moth-eaten. It has been quite a shock for the village as folk who normally shop out of town exclusively - apart from milk and things like that - are now flooding into the three small shops. However, we wont starve.

How is everyone else faring?

Well ... We are doing fine ... We have food for ourselves, food for the Boyz, the cats have food, and there is food in the local shop ...have you spotted a theme yet? ... The choice in our local isn't particularly broad so we may end up living on Swede and Broccoli Pie but we received a red cross parcel of flour from Nikki so I am intending to commit Kookery by baking some bread later in the week. The weather has helped, we have been prepping the veg garden .. "Digging for Victory"?.. well not quite, but having veg from the garden is always a treat.
I am trying to avoid the News programmes ... It's not a case of burying my head in the sand, but more to protect the innocent as i become incandescent at the stupidity of people. The latest thing to wind me up is the 5 million quid being spent on sending out letters to every household in Britain .. Boris (it's Just Boris by the way J Wink ) will urge everyone to follow the rules to save lives and to thank NHS staff working round the clock as well as everyone volunteering their time to protect others. This message has been sent out time and time again over the past days and weeks .. it a good message ... but by letter, at 5 Million quid ??? really??? how many masks or virus tests for front line staff would that buy, how many ventilators ... Mad ... And the fact is, that the people who read this letter will be the ones who have already understood the message .. the idiots who are disregarding the advice and rules will almost certainly chuck the letter in the bin... Grrrrrr.
I was going to say "don't get me started" but that ship has sailed (and won't be docking anytime soon) Ho Hum, I s'pose i should step away from the keyboard at this point, but before i go, let me send Y'all a big virtual, virus free, hug and ask that you stay as safe as possible. Loads-a-love, Mxx

MMM - THREE postings would not be enough....love the JustBoris quip....and all I can add is that....WE WONT STARVE....

I had been wondering how much that letter is costing..... jeeeeez...to tell us what they have ALREADY TOLD US?? ( sorry shouty )....unless they are telling us to NOT get in our campervans and travel to beauty spots...unless they are telling us in no uncertain terms that it is NOT okay to drive somewhere to exercise either ourselves or our dogs...unless they are telling us that it is NOT okay to go for a drive because we are essentially self-isolating in our cars and that that is WRONNNNNNNNG because if there is an accident, they are taking emphasis off of the already stretched NHS.. which that letter is NOT saying....sorry.... dismantling my soapbox as we speak...and breathe.....

Hugs to you all...keeping the virtual, cyber-space regulated 6 feet away of course...not 2 metres....who the heck uses metres these days anyways....yerbut...sending big loves to you all.

Nina Laughing ..
Judy ... Nope he's not going to tell us all those things, he's going to ask us to avoid unnecessary contact with others ... and he's going to do it by asking Post Men and Women to hand deliver letters to 30 million homes across the land Confused .... Really?? ... Confused Evil or Very Mad ... I just hope that he didn't lick the envelopes ... Shocked
