So it’s seems we are now ok to drive short distances to walk and are allowed to rest part way and eat lunch.

Driving to countryside and walking (where far more time is spent walking than driving).”

Stopping to rest or to eat lunch while on a long walk”.

And when we have had a falling out interestingly we can, if anyone will take you in

“Move to a friend's address for several days to allow a 'cooling-off' following arguments at home.”

At least it means If we walk for longer get than it takes to drive to the location we can give our furry friends a a walk that is more normal for them.

I just hope people namely covidiots who have been treating this a extended bank holiday don’t take this to extremes and use it as a pass to drive to the coast or countryside for a day out .

Maybe the saving grace this weekend will be if the weather is not so nice. Could actually do with some rain and if it stops people from driving around for the sake of it all the better.

We've had a little bit of rain this evening but I suspect the wind will dry it out before its had the chance to do any good. Unfortunately I live within easy reach of playing fields and open fields with bridleways and footpaths; the mere hint of rain brings out the motorbikes and a quad bike - the fields had just dried up from the winter and now if we get more rain these prats will ruin it all again. You can't win. Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

Sure enough, around 10pm yesterday after I'd gone to bed (my bedroom windows face the direction of the open fields) I could hear first the quad bike and then 4 motorbikes - and at that hour there'd be nobody to stop them. Not that there ever is anyway Mad Sad

That’s not fun Mary must be very annoying. Apart from the noise, Quads and scrambling bike are so destructive .

Virus

Covidiots covidiots you see them everywhere
Sprawling in parks, sunbathing and letting down their hair
Their social distancing is nil and rules are brushed aside
As far as these prats are concerned there’s nothing to abide

Initially the Underground was blatantly abused
With people standing face to face and germs were thus infused
Until the lockdown was imposed and many work from home
While daily exercise allows a trip outside to roam

The families flitting ‘tween their homes and holiday abodes
A journey of some umpteen miles when taking to the roads
Without a thought for how their actions might affect those met
They think rules don’t apply to them or else choose to forget

The lout who sits upon his bike and spits around his feet
The child who from midday to dusk is cycling in the street
While friends of parents congregate and drink from cans of beer
Their attitudes won’t change until the virus hits one dear .

Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

So, ok, it isn't possible for me to actually go up to the Ardeche mountains right now, but some lucky people live there and posted a few pics for us on their Facebook page yesterday. This is the very first place I intend to go to at the end of lockdown (May 11th with a bit of luck). Wait for me, daffs and wild pansies, please!!!!
