She has taken off and is in the air somewhere over Turkey
Got sent little video of plane taxing down runway and it made me cry
don’t know why. Just the thought of all those abused and neglected little ones going off to loving forever homes. Won’t sleep a wink tonight there are a number coming over as planes were grounded due to Covid.
God speed little ones xxxx |

Aww how kind. The more I know of some people the more I realise that dogs are where we want to be. My o/h feels the same. We are the privileged ones.
Love her so much and can’t wait to get her here xxx |

Think I am excited as you are!! She has no idea of what is in store for her in the very near future and I am sure she will settle very quickly once she gets that 'safe and comfortable' feeling. |

Oh Gerrie, I have just caught up with your very exciting news.
How wonderful for you and little Lucy. No doubt there may be small hurdles while she is settling in with you, but I wish you both much love and joy together.

Thinking of you today, Gerrie, as this is the day your little Lucy is coming home. Can't wait to hear ("read"!) about the encounter (lots of tears, I bet!) and the first few hours together. Maybe you have already met at this time of day!!!! |

Home now. Had chicken and rice, very fast big drink of water, wee and a poo She is like a mountain goat and keeps leaping onto my lap and rolling onto her back. She taps with her paw for fuss. Hasn’t stopped wagging yet she is very young and larger than we thought .. we have a big puppy looks like a teddy bear. She will go to sleep soon
Love her to bits. Mol sniffed her butt then went to sleep |

Well .. she went thru the night sleeping in the bedroom with us. She is just love on a stick, so affectionate and demonstrative. I don’t think she is much older than 14 months or so. Energy doesn’t describe her
She is food obsessed and it vanishes in seconds. She has spent her young life starved so food and love are really valued by her. I will send Mark some pics soon but really need to go onto off topic.
She needs house training but that will come. |

I was wondering how her first nifgt went, thanks for the news Gerrie!
If she is as young as you think she is, Lucy may overcome her food obsession (which is understandable, of course, due to her past life). Miss You was 3 years old when she joined me and Foxie, and had had to fight to get her fair share of food during those first 3 years and so she remained a very fast eater all her life - she ate absolutely everything I gave her down to the last crumb, and then emitted a noisy belch! |

I will get some pics soon. If she can sit still long enough. Her tail never stops wagging. |

Have sent a couple of quick pics to Mark.
Mollie doesn’t seem bothered once she had sniffed her butt.
Lucy doesn’t show her teeth but twice has shown she is nervous of Moll but only twice. She got a little possessive with a toy so we put it up for now.
She has had to fend for herself so to be expected. We are thrilled to bits with her. |
