So, tomorrow (11th of March) is Mummy's Birthday,  , and we think she looks really rather good for her age ... like, in dog years, she's in her mid 400s

Ooh, Aunty Gilly
I'm glad you had a happy day
I hope we'll come again to stay
for I recall when we're with you
these lovely things that we would do.
Mum sinks into the comfy chair
and it's not long before Ken's there;
he trots across to gently place
sweet, searching kisses on her face
No Tali-tugs, oh what a shame
it really is my favourite game
and when Ken joins it is such fun
we never really know who's won
Fat Phyllis curls upon Mum's knee,
Mum's very fond of her you see
but if Phyll's too sharp claws come out
it's off she'll go without a doubt!
Young Billy can be quite a tease,
he makes me chase him round the trees
but then sometimes with silent stalk
he'll join us on our late night walk.
My Mum is in a "win win" state,
no cooking chores, something she'd hate,
but, for her, garden tasks are play
and make a really happy day.
Trips to the thrift shops will be missed,
(should be on B's' essentials list),
but Mum loves dump trips I am told
for one man's trash might be her gold .
But we are here so far away
and far away is where we'll stay
until we know it's safe to see
this lovely Devon family
