Our local Ski & Camping shop (closed now,  sadly) had a Beardie x Jack Russell, Sprocket.  He was black & white, and I'm told the JR was the dad.  Sprocket lived to 20, and as the shop was next door to the local (enclosed) recreation ground Sprocket used to treat that as his garden.  He was a lovely character, Jethro's predecessor got on with him really well.  He looked more beardie than JR especially the head.
