True, if fireworks were strictly limited to once a year on traditional events (Guy Fawkes Night for you, Bastille Day for us), it would be slightly more tolerable. But in France, as is the case in the UK too, in addition to the official July 14th fireworks which take place in every French city/town, more and more people have quite recently started to buy individual ones to celebrate the New Year, for example, plus various other occasions. Too much is too much!!!
